Newman University is seeking a service-oriented and highly organized Operations Support Coordinator to help support the daily operational functions of our campus. This role serves as a key point of contact for university services, coordinating telephone operations, mailroom functions, bookstore support, and administrative operations to ensure smooth and efficient campus service.

The position also supports Accounts Payable by assisting with the coordination and review of invoices to help ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

What You'll Do

  • Manage campus telephone operations, including routing calls and maintaining system announcements
  • Provide front-line service and accurate information to campus visitors and callers
  • Coordinate daily phone coverage to ensure continuous service
  • Serve as the primary liaison for campus mailroom services
  • Supervise and coordinate mailroom student workers
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
  • Provide operational support for campus bookstore services
  • Assist Accounts Payable with coordinating and reviewing university invoices
  • Maintain organized operational records and support cross-departmental initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Five years of relevant administrative or operational experience; Associate’s degree preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Experience with telephone systems and general computer applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Commitment to supporting Newman’s Catholic mission and inclusive community
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
