Admissions - Wichita, KS - Part Time

Job Summary:

The Admissions team is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated students with a strong commitment to the University. Ideal candidates will have a passion for sharing their campus experience and expertise with prospective students, families and other guests visiting Newman University Monday through Friday, from 10AM to 1PM and/or 2PM to 4PM.

Ambassador Work Performed:

  1. Guiding campus tours for prospective Newman University students and families, both in person and virtually via Zoom.
  2. Guiding campus tours for various other guests, including new staff & faculty.
  3. Assist Admissions Counselors in school visits from High Schools, Middle Schools and Elementary Schools, both in person and virtually via Zoom.
  4. Participate in event days and student panels, sharing your Newman experience.
  5. Work between 3-10 hours each week.
  6. Complete University-required trainings.

Requirements for Both Positions:

  1. Must have completed at least one semester as a Newman University student
  2. Be a full-time Newman University student, enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester
  3. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  4. A high degree of commitment and reliability
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Flexibility and adaptability for various visit experiences and guests
  7. Passionate about Newman University
  8. Respect for confidentiality and professionalism at all times, especially when guests are present

Hours Available: Monday through Friday, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM and/or 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Potential for several weekend and evening shifts as recruitment events are scheduled.

Pay: $8.25 per hour
