Assistant Professor of Biology (Anatomy)

Biology - Wichita, KS - Full Time

Occupational Summary:

This position is a tenure-track faculty position within the Biology department. Teaching responsibilities include a human anatomy course that supports our Master program in Biomedical Science as well as other biology courses for pre-medical and other pre-health professional students (anatomy and human physiology). The successful candidate will also manage the cadaver lab, providing tours and conducting workshops in the lab for undergraduate biology majors.

The teaching load is 24 full-time undergraduate credit hour equivalents per year (based on the load hour conversion model in the Faculty Handbook) or 18 graduate credit hour equivalents. Faculty members also advise and mentor students and serve on university committees. Development of an undergraduate research program which includes undergraduate students is strongly encouraged.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Biology, Anatomy, and/or Physiology. (Ph.D. preferred.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience.
