Occupational Summary:
Newman University invites applications for a dynamic MSW Program and Grant Coordinator to lead and manage the Behavioral Health Education program under the HRSA BHWET grant. This role is ideal for a licensed social worker passionate about higher education, teaching MSW courses, behavioral health workforce development, and program coordination. The coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and community partners, ensuring smooth program operations, effective grant compliance, and high-quality education and training experiences.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HRSA BHWET grant program, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines.
  2. Serve as the liaison among students, faculty, and agency partners to foster collaboration and resolve challenges.
  3. Teach courses and deliver training workshops integrating trauma-informed, evidence-based practices in behavioral health.
  4. Plan, develop, and implement curricula and educational materials to enhance student learning.
  5. Monitor program outcomes, collect data, and prepare grant reports to demonstrate program effectiveness.
  6. Collaborate with internal and external evaluators to assess program success and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  7. Promote an inclusive, culturally aware, and trauma-sensitive learning environment.
  8. Support the university’s mission and Catholic identity while fostering professional growth and workforce development in social work.

Requirements:
  1. Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) required, doctoral degree in a related field preferred.
  2. Minimum three years’ experience in social work, behavioral health, or related fields, including higher education.
  3. Experience managing federal or state grant programs preferred.
  4. Previous teaching experience at the graduate level in social work or behavioral health.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based behavioral health practices.
  6. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, and data management tools.
  9. Flexible and willing to travel for program-related activities as needed.
  10. Legally authorized to work in the United States.
