Newman University is seeking a student-focused Academic Support & Intervention Specialist to support campus initiatives that promote student persistence, retention, and success. This role coordinates academic intervention programs, tutoring services, and ADA accommodations while working closely with faculty and campus departments to support students who may be academically at risk

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate academic intervention efforts and support students identified through early intervention and midterm downgrade reporting
  • Provide guidance and coordinate accommodations for students with documented disabilities in compliance with ADA requirements
  • Manage and promote tutoring services, including recruiting and coordinating peer tutors
  • Collaborate with campus partners to support student placement, experiential learning credit processes, and student success initiatives
  • Assist with assessment and analysis of student success data to inform retention strategies
  • Support operations and outreach for the Student Success Center

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a related field
  • Experience in student success services such as tutoring, academic intervention, or ADA support preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff
  • Commitment to supporting Newman’s Catholic mission and inclusive campus community
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
