Are you a self-starter who loves to be on camera and possesses a strong understanding of the social media space?

Position Summary:

The Admissions team is looking for an energetic and outgoing student with a passion for promoting the University on social media to a prospective student target audience. As the Admissions Social Media Ambassador, you should exhibit unwavering authenticity as the face and voice of the Newman University Admissions Department’s online persona.

Work Performed:

  1. Develop, perform, and produce social media content at the direction of the Admissions Digital Marketing Manager.
  2. Promote the Newman Brand.
  3. Create a social strategy to meet Admissions objectives.
  4. Convey authentic enthusiasm.
  5. Cover stipulated talking points.
  6. Schedule and interview current students, faculty, and staff.
  7. Produce classroom takeovers for various majors and programs.
  8. Produce Newman University and college-related “How-To” videos.
  9. Take photos and videos both on and off campus.
  10. Create creative text content to enhance photo and video content.
  11. Promote Admissions events, announcements, deadlines, holidays, and scholarships.
  12. Schedule content publications across social platforms.
  13. Adhere to Newman University’s social media guidelines.
  14. Complete University-required trainings, including FERPA and Title IX.
  15. Contribute to the overall success of the Admissions Office by performing all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

  1. Be a full-time Newman University student, enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester
  2. High degree of commitment and reliability
  3. Excellent communication skills
  4. Flexibility and adaptability for various projects
  5. Passionate about Newman University
  6. Respect for confidentiality and professionalism
  7. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Hours Available:

  1. A weekly work schedule will be crafted with the Admissions Digital Marketing Manager consisting of 10-15 hours per week.
  2. Additional hours may become available throughout the year for on-campus and off-campus events and promotions.
  3. There may be potential for weekend and evening shifts as recruitment events are scheduled.
