Student - Events Assistant
The University Advancement team has openings for Events Student Assistants. This position assists the Events Coordinator and Advancement team with campus events. Schedule varies.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and tear down tables and chairs for on-campus events, fundraising events and alumni events.
- Serve as the Newman representative and assist event hosts with any needs/concerns/issues they may have (i.e., setting up equipment, putting out signs, moving tables & chairs, lighting candles, etc.)
- Administrative duties, filing, preparing mailings, etc.
- Complete University-required trainings, including FERPA and Title IX.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Advancement Office by performing all other duties as assigned and appropriate to the position.
Requirements:
- Must be a current Newman University Student enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours)
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service oriented/client focus
- Knowledge of computers and audio equipment; Outlook Calendar and Office software preferred
- Self-motivated
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Number of hours per week: 10-20
Days and Times: Varies: days, evenings, weekends depending on event schedule and needs in Advancement Office.
Rate of pay: $10.00
