Newman University is seeking a creative, tech-savvy, and community-driven Digital Community Specialist to help grow and engage strategically targeted audiences, including parents, alumni, and prospective community members. This role plays a key part in enhancing and promoting the university through digital engagement, storytelling, and relationship building across multiple platforms.

The Digital Community Specialist manages communications across digital channels, creates engaging content, and collaborates with campus partners to strengthen Newman’s brand and community presence.

This position reports to the Director of University Relations and works closely with the Digital Content Team, as well as members of University Relations and Institutional Advancement.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with University Relations and Institutional Advancement to develop and execute community and social media strategies aligned with marketing goals.
  • Create engaging content across digital platforms and actively interact with community members.
  • Monitor feedback, trends, and engagement metrics to inform strategy and report on performance.
  • Organize and support events to strengthen community connections and brand awareness.
  • Build relationships with key audiences while ensuring consistent branding and staying current with digital trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, with experience in community management or social media
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Experience creating engaging content and analyzing digital engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels, trends, and tools
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
